Tales from The Wrong Side of The Couch
In his new release, Drew Bridges revisits his experiences over the last fifty years of becoming and working as a psychiatrist. He chooses these "tales" to describe the often bewildering challenges of working in the field of psychiatry. These stories mostly reveal his own naiveté and struggle to understand how the world works.
The book is not intended as a "tell all" or call for reform of the profession, but certain aspects of the shortcomings of the world of medicine are presented. Overall, the book is intended as a hopeful and respectfully entertaining one about psychiatrists and those they try to help.
